Tonia: Life Check, Life Check 1 2, 1 2. Testing testing. Are you there? This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!

Good morning, Journey of You, family. Welcome to today’s show where we are going to talk about life - your life. We will reflect, re-imagine and reset.

Reflect - how many times have you heard a tribute to someone about their life and how they impacted people. You hear about the things that they accomplished, the lives they touched, and how they made others feel. Today, I would like you to reflect on your own life. Do it as though you were writing your life story, a summary of who you are. What have you done thus far? How have you grown? What have you accomplished? Who have you have impacted and in what way?

Now, don’t get discouraged. This part of your reflection is simply just you taking inventory of what you have done so far in your journey. No guilt. No shame. No trying to keep up with the Jones’ or whoever it is that you think has it all together or has more than you. It is solely about you.

You see, when we stand before God at the end of our lives, we will stand alone. It won’t be about what anyone else did to us or didn’t do; we will have to give an account for the things that we did or didn’t do. So, focus on you. Once you have written it down and have a good overall synopsis, I want you to start to re-imagine.

Re-Imagine - here is where you get to dream and envision anew. If the part of your life leading up to today didn’t produce what you desired, or is no longer fulfilling, and you want to do more or do something different, write that down under re-imagine. Maybe you were a lawyer, and now you want to be an interior designer and completely change careers. Maybe you were a stay at home parent and now you want to start your own business. Maybe you were in corporate America and now you feel called to the mission field. Dream. Take the limits off of God. He has already equipped you with what you need to accomplish everything that He sent you here to do: faith in God. As long as you have faith in Him, all things are possible. It will not always go according to your plan, but His purpose always prevails. Step out in faith.

Who are you called to reach? Think about what things really bother you. For example, for me it is women and how they see themselves. Often times, it is the ones who have experienced trauma - ongoing trauma, that is so deep they lose sight of themselves and begin to question their worth and value, and are merely just existing. Or they are trying so many things to prove their value and worth, that they never take time to rest, or sit still to hear from God so that He can lead and guide them and assure them of their worth in Him. That was me. I know what that feels like and I want to remind those women that they are Daughters of the Most High King, and that He created them for a purpose. He created each and every one of us for a purpose, that was gifted to us long before we stepped foot out of the womb.

Reset - which is where the reset comes into play. When you purchase something and it stops working, or it stalls, or your computer freezes, you return it to the store that you purchased it from or you call up the manufacture for help to troubleshoot it, order replacement parts, or have it rebooted. As humans, we are the same way. Life happens on a daily basis, and we are processing hundreds of thousands of thoughts a day. We are making decisions, and sometimes running on empty. You can’t pour from an empty vessel. You have to stay plugged in to your Manufacture - Jesus Christ.

Sometimes in life, hurt, pain, heartache, loss, disappointment clouds our vision and judgment and blurs the goodness of God that is happening all around us. Each time the sun rises and sets - a completely different painted picture across the sky. The dew on the grass in the early morning. The crisp cold of the night. The stars shining brightly in the sky. The leaves budding in Spring, and changing colors in fall. Our brains continually telling our lungs to breath and our hearts to beat, automatically, without even a thought from us to do so.

If you are alive and breathing today, it is for a reason. Smile at the person walking alongside you in the grocery store. Say good morning to your family. Grab someone else a cup of coffee. Enjoy making the lunch for your kids or your staff or whomever you are feeding today. Be thankful for the ability to do so. Appreciate God’s provision - big and small. Find Him in everything that you do. The more that you do, the more that your cup will be full, your joy will overflow, and you can choose happiness, even when things aren’t ideal. Full use of your limbs, a sound mind, a roof over your head, clothes on your back, food in your belly. There are many things to be grateful for, and when you choose to focus on those things, it is much harder to complain, and easier to remember all that God has done for you thus far.

Make each and every day of your dash count. Live life one day at a time. What is the best impact you can make today? Leave a little bit of Jesus with everyone that you meet or interact with today simply by being your best you. You get to choose how you live life each and every day. It is an opportunity - a gift here in the present - to be better than you were yesterday. Reflect. Re-imagine. Reset. This is your journey. It’s where your life begins.
