Today, Nejai "Jai" Waltower turns the microphone on and interviews Tonia. She wanted to learn more about her behind the scenes. Tonia sits on the opposite side of the camera today and opens up for us to get to know her a little bit more.

Tonia: Yeah, so just continuing on like what we were talking about, I, I don't know, I have a heart for women and I received a prophecy, I wanna say.
Maybe twenty two thousand eight two thousand nine somewhere around in there that I had a nation of women in my belly that I was supposed to speak to and I was like god what does that mean and I always thought well you just be in writing I'll write books um ca i've always written you know my whole life but I feel like lately now It's been more of like, no, you need to actually speak. I don't just mean you need to speak power. And so just getting to a place of being comfortable with speaking, and not worrying anymore about like how it's gonna be received or what people are gonna say, just, okay, God, you gave it to me, I'm gonna share it and if it helps with one person, then I've done everything I needed to do.
Jai: So I know you talk about you writing. I know you shared with me kind of your journey, just how God views you like in journaling, writing, and then it became, you know, manifestation of maybe like, I'm gonna do this with the writings and I'm gonna do this with the writings. What happened in your journey of writing down the words that God was giving you to a point where you're like, okay, I need to step out on what God is sharing with me. To share it with woman will kind of like that turning for you.
Tonia: I say, about a year ago, I went to Life Surge and Priscilla Shower was going to be there, three or four other people, Tim Tebow, and just, it was an all day event and they invited everyone to come. And it was at the Cobb Energy Center. And I just had my journal and my pen, and I was like, “I'm going to go take notes. Go praise and worship. It’s going to be a great day!” Well, throughout that day, every single person that got on stage talked about their journey, that it wasn't exactly what they thought it was going to be, but how God came in and showed them.
Nope, this is right where you're supposed to be. And even in their struggles, God was with them every step of the way, and they realized we do have gifts and our gifts make room for us, and it's okay for you to share those gifts and receive provision for it. Like that's the way God intended. He gave us the power to go and get well. And all throughout the day they started giving you different ways that you could use your gifts to provide for other people, but also be able to provide for your family.
And I was like, Oh my goodness, I've been thinking about this stuff forever, but I hadn't taken like that step of faith. I just kept saying one day one day, but that particular day I was like, Okay, I want to learn more about it. And online was one of the ways that they presented being able to share all of your stuff since all of us are connected online now. And I was like, Okay. So, I signed up for a two-day course and I went to the two-day course, it was eight hours both days, and I learned kind of step-by-step of how to do it and how to utilize the things I was already doing, but how to do it in a way that I could reach more people.
And I was like, Okay, God Let's go. Yeah, very scary, but um, just stepping out in faith because to me it just mattered to be able to help other people and I wanted to reach more people and this was showing me ways that I could do it. Wow, well I know that you definitely hit the ground running. You hit the ground running and you've really put out some powerful, powerful messages that I know God downloaded in your spirit. You've um, definitely heard. You know, not only the voice of God, but He's shown you through Scripture how this really applies to the woman of today.
Jai: So I just want to talk a little bit about. Decide to either send that message that God gives you, like through, you know, inspirational message or how do you decide? Okay, I'm gonna do a pod cast and really dive or deep dive into this topic. How do you kind of like utilize those different, you know, I would say mediums to get the message across.
Tonia: So it depends. Sometimes I'll get a download that it's like very lengthy, probably a little bit too long for an email. And so depending on how much I have, that determines like, okay, is this gonna be a podcast, is this something that I can write a whole book about or is it something that it's gonna be a couple of emails?
And so depending on the length of what I have or like how in depth I can go with it, that determines which. Wait. Like if it's something that I can talk about for a while, I'm like, Oh, this is gonna be a podcast, yes, but if it's something that it's even deeper and I feel like we've got to break it down and walk through it, then I'm going to probably lead more to a book on that or maybe even a course where you can go through and work through it and take action on what you're reading step by step, but where you can really get the full depth of it because some stuff I can't cover it all in a 15 or 30 minute podcast.
And so I want to make sure that you get what you need. And so in those times I'm studying and really adding in more stuff and I'm putting in a book so that way you can read it at your own leisure, but be able to still glean what you need from there.
Jai: Okay, very good, I can't do that, but thank the Lord for definitely gifting you. So everyone. Today I have the privilege of sitting on the other side of the Mk. To be with my good friend Tonya Venus. This is the woman behind the Journey of You book, definitely, she has several books, she hass podcasts, she has blogs. Messages that go out, you know, through email. So much God has been doing through Tonia over the years and she is now in a place where she's decided, you know what, “God, I want to put this fire this fire out, this burning sensation. I've had to really spread your gospel and to spread your truth to women; women like me, that maybe have been in the same position that I've been or have walked this journey, but just really need some guidance and direction and um, you know, like we all know, because the word says that He gives us gifts for the building up of His kingdom and for the women that are in the kingdom and those that are not in the kingdom.
Yet His word and the gifts that He gives every one of us is to be able to utilize it in such a way. And I know that Tonia has been gifted with the kind that I wish I had definitely in college with those forty-five papers, but God has really used her in such a way to reveal the word to us in a; in a definitely a new, in a different way. And also to speak to us where we're at. And so I decided that I was going to bring her here today so I can talk with her and she can talk to me and we can talk to y'all about what God has been doing and what He is continuing to do, and just so you can know who Tonia is.
He created us and he created us for a purpose, and the journey of you is all about that and so much more. So, I would love for you guys to get connected to Tonia and what God is doing, um, you know, through the journey of you. So, if you can share with, um, our listeners, how can they connect with you.
